Stock Horse Class Descriptions
Pleasure The Stock horse pleasure class is unique in that it is a patterned and individually scored class that includes maneuvers that ensure a horse is functional and a pleasure to ride in everyday stock/ranch horse chores.

Trail The Stock horse trail class includes common sense obstacles that would be encountered in everyday stock/ranch horse work.

Reining The Stock horse reining class measures the horse’s ability to be willingly guided while performing many basic handling maneuvers such as spins, rollbacks, circles, stops and flying lead changes.

Working Cow The Stock horse working cow horse class measures a horse’s ability to respond to a cow in stock/ranch horse work.

(The Reining and Cow Horse classes are two separate classes. Each class measures different abilities and this judging system allows each of the maneuvers to be scored individually and be pointed equally with the other classes.)

These four classes are combined to provide a balance of scoring that measures a truly versatile stock horse that is a pleasure to ride on the ranch, on the trail, in the ring or down the road.
